28086/9 Seder ('order' of procedurebanquetworship)


A COMBINATION
OF RICH SYMBOLISM,
RELIGIOUS HISTORY, WORSHIP/TABLESONGS, PRAYING, ETING, THANKING
and so on, all bound together into a Unity?! The WHOLE FAMILY and as many friends
as possible around the Table, at which they are permitted to lean (probably a Roman influence
emphasizing "FREEDOM"knipoog, and the head of the table sits on cushions (for the same reason)!?

Two plates are placed on the table containing a number of very symbolic ceremonials as follows:
- on one plate there are Three Cakes of Unleavened Bread, the Matsot, symbolizing the 'haste' in
which the Israelites left Egypt having no time to bake the ordinary leaven bread. On the other plate are:
Roasted Lamb-bone; (Pascha Lamb); Roasted Egg ('Spring'-Fertility or festival burnt-offering; Bitter Herbs
such as Horseradish (The Bitter Life of the Roaming Israelites); Salt Water (Tears of Slaves, or dipping aegyptiams in the Red Sea e.d.);
CHAROSET: brown paste made out of nuts, raisins, cinnamon, wine, apple (looks like the 'mortar' with which the enslavened Israelites built the food storehouses for Pharaoh Enzo!

During the Evening 4 glasses of wine are drunk by each individual
(corresponding to the socalled Roman Freeman's customary procedure)! MODERN SIGNIFICANCE FOR US: this Festival Teaches us that as Jews we should be in the forefront of all those that oppose TIRANNY, and that we should defend the right of all human beings to the fullest possible FREE-DOM INDEPENDENT OF THEIR RACE, COLOUR, NATIONALITY OR CREED! Wé múst àlso learn to "LOVE THE STRANGER, FOR WE WERE ALSO STRANGERS IN THE LAND OF AEGYPT"! We, now & here, should also seek, through the inspiration
of Thìs Festival, to 'free' all of ourselves of those tyrannies
which enslave the mind and the spirit of man,
such as bigotry, prejudice,
envy, greed &
(civil) war
