mydiinterlanguage spreading inside & around us ...
Anyway, 'interlanguage' is already spreading inside & all around us with rapidity and, while it spreads, crowds out the world's spoken vernaculars! What we intitiated in the sixties of this past century comes 'of age' fifty years later, at least so it seems? All our mydistories by language have carried us thus far afield, through domains of history, religion, philosophy, physical science, anthropology, sociology & geography ...
We have, every now and then also witnessed partly & in detail the birth & growth of human systems of our human communiscation, chief among which is language. The nature of speech & writing are thus no longer closed books to us anymore. The fundamental purpose & function of speech has become a bit clearer now & we have seen what language & languages consist of while we observed the intimate connections of tales in several languages with ALL basic human activities. We now know enough, I hope, about the locations, affiliations, cultural & economic importance of the world's chief tongues to be able to discuss them intelligently: even their appearances & structures are no longer huge mysteries for us to blame gods & devils?!
The number of existing languages & the difficulty of mastering even a single one beside our 'own' have been brought into sharp focus by certain mydistories, on & off? The problems of language are not only something for the 'pedagogues' alone to worry about anymore! They concern wach & every one of us, if not in connection with foreign tongues with which we may or may not {?} at any tine be thrown in contact, then at least in conjunction with our own mother tongue over which none of us exercises absolute mastery.
The story of language, {religion/philosophy/psychology}, is just another phase, perhaps the most important, certainly the most enlightening, of the story of mankind: & dagboekanierschap is niet v/d kat z'n kut.
