The morning after next continued Re: 15-4-'04
And
Yeshu
went about all the cities and villages
teaching and preaching
the gospel of
the kingdom
and healing every sickness
and every disease among
the people.
But
when he saw the multitudes
he was moved with compassion on them
because they fainted
and were scattered abroad as sheep having
no shepherd.
Then
saith he
unto his followers:
The harvest
truly is plenteous,
but the labourers
are few;
Ask ye therefore
the Lord of the harvest,
that he will send forth labourers
into his harvest.
And when he
had called unto him his twelve followers,
he gave them power against unclean spirits,
to cast them out,
and to heal all manner of sickness and
all manner of
disease.
These twelve
Yeshu sent forth, and commanded them,
saying:
Go to
the lost sheep,
and as ye go,
tell them:
The kingdom of heaven is at hand!
Heal the sick,
cleanse the leapers,
raise the dead,
cast out devils:
freely ye have received,
freely give.
Provide neither gold,
nor silver,
nor brass in your purses,
nor scrip for your journey,
neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves:
for the workman is worthy
of his meat.
And
when ye come
into a house, salute it.
And if the house be worthy,
let your peace come upon it:
but if it be not worthy,
let your peace
return to
you.
And whosoever
shall not receive you, nor hear your words,
when ye depart out of that house or city,
shake the dust of
your feet.
Verily
I say unto you:
It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha
in the day of judgment,
than for that city.
Behold,
I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:
be ye therefore wise as serpents,
and harmless
as doves.
And ye shall be brought
before governors and kings for my sake.
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak:
for it shall be given you in that same hour
what ye shall speak.
For
it is not ye that speak,
but the Spirit of your Father which
speaketh in you.
And the brother
shall deliver up the brother to death,
and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents,
and cause them to be put
to death.
And ye shall be hated
of all men for my name's sake:
but he that endureth to the end shall
be saved.
But when they
persecute you in this city,
flee ye into another:
for verily I say unto you,
Ye shall not have gone over the cities of the world,
till the Son of man
be come.
The follower
is not above his master,
nor the servant above his lord.
It is enough for the follower that he be
as his master,
and the servant as
his lord.
If they call
the master of the house
the Lord of Flies,
how much more shall they call them
of his household?
Fear them not therefore:
for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed;
and hid, that shall not be known.
What I
tell you in darkness,
that speak ye in light:
and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul:
but rather fear him which is able to destroy both
soul and body in hell!
Whosoever therefore
shall confess me before men,
him will I confess also before my Father
which is in heaven.
But whosoever shall deny me before men,
him will I also deny before my Father
which is in heaven.
Think not
that I am come
to send just another Pax Romana on earth:
I came not to send suppression,
but liberation.
For I am come
to set a man at variance against his father,
and the daughter against her mother,
and the daughter in law against
her mother in law.
And a man's foes
shall be they of his own household.
He that loves father or mother more than me
is not worthy of me.
And he that takes
not up my yoke, and followeth after me,
is not worthy of me.
He that finds
his life shall lose it:
and he that loses his life for my sake shall find it.
He that receives you receives me,
and he that receives me receives him
that sent me.
He that receives
a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward;
and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
And whosoever
shall give to drink unto one of these little one
a cup of cold water water only out of humanity,
verily I say unto you,
he shall in no wise lose
his reward!
SO
it will be,
in this way,
that the blind receive their sight,
and the lame walk,
the lepers are cleansed,
and the deaf hear,
the dead are reaised up,
and the poor have
the kingdom.
And blessed is he,
whosoever shall not be offended in me.
FOR this is how the poor will enter
the kingdom of heaven:
They that mourn will be comforted.
The meek shall inherit the earth.
They which do hunger and thirst after righteousness,
food and water,
shall be filled!
The merciful shall obtain mercy.
The pure in heart see G*D.
Those persecuted for righteouness sake belong to
the kingdom of heaven.
If men revile you
and persecute you and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely and for my sake:
rejoice,
and be exceeding glad:
for great is your reward spiritually in 'heaven':
for so they persecuted the prophets which
were before you.
Ye are the salt
of the earth and the light
of the world,
so don't loose your savour
or hide your light,
but let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your heavenly
Father.
I am not come
to destroy the law or the prophets,
but to fulfil.
Don't
become angry
but agree with each other
as far as it depends
on you.
Learn
to know yourselves and don't swear or curse,
but bless and let your words be honest
and fair.
Do not
resist evil.
Give to the one that asks.
And don't turn away from him that wants to borrow.
Love your enemies.
Bless those that curse you and
do good to them that
hate you.
Then you can be
children of your heavenly Father,
for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good
and sends rain on the just and
on the unjust.
Be ye
therefore perfect,
as you Father which is in heaven
is perfect.
