IT is known
that a human
has to have a constant intake
of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals
and vitamins?


THESE
are necessary for construction,
growth and tissue-repair,
and for energy!

The first step
in the direction of supplying food
to all humans,
must be to exploit existing sources
to the full
by using modern farming
methods?

Great tracts of land,
many in the underdeveloped countries
still remain to be used.

Some of these
have excellent topsoil and
a good supply of water.

Others are lacking
in one or more of the many factors
necessary for a good crop?

In that case
fertilizer must be supplied.
Water must be made available and many
other things done.

Obviously all this
goes thoroughly together with the training
of the local population in the use
of modern methods.

This entails
changing the habits of
many generations?

Some of the terrain
not suitable for agriculture can be used
for water-collecting by runn-off inducement methods,
techniques for sealing the ground in arid zones,
thereby inducing it to reject the water
which then runs off and
is collected!

Theoretically
it should be possible to use plants
to convert about 30% or more of the sun's incoming
energy into food:
to date the most modern techniques
use about only 3%, whilst in practice normal agriculture
uses only 1 or 2%.

Animal farming is
an excellent source of fat and protein in the form
of meat, milk and milk
derivatives?

Many animals,
cattle for example,
have the ability to use substances
which man cannot use and to convert them
into products edible
for man.

The ruminants
break down substances such as cellulose,
which is available in vast
quantities.

They will also eat
and utilize agricultural waste such as from
the oil seed industry.

IF all the material needs of mankind are satisfied ~
do you really think that we will be
happy?

Do you think
that we can pay
sufficient attention to the feeding
of the hungry while we wallow in luxury and injustice?

We do have the material means
to fulfull the basic needs of all humans ~
the only thing lacking is
the people prepaired to use them
in the right way!
