look! he said I see heaven opened & the son of man
theory & poetry/facts & fictions after 40 days & more ...
Many miracles & wonders were being performed among the people by the apostles: all the believers met together in a group in Solomon's Porch. Noboby outside the group dared to join them, even though the people spoke highly of them. But more and more people were added to the group ~ a crowd of men and women who believed in the Lord. As a result of what the apostles were doing, the sick people were carried out in the streets and placed on beds and mats so that, when Peter walked by, at least his shadow might pass over some of them. And crowds of people came in from the towns around Yerushalayim, bringing their sick and those who had evil spirits in them; and they were healed ... THEN the High Priest and all his companions, members of the local party of the Sadducees, became extremely jealous of the apostles; so they decided to take action. They arrested the apostles and place them in the public jail. But that night [someone looking like] an angel of the Lord opened the prison gates, led the apostles out, and said to them, "GO and stand in the Temple, and tell the peope all about this new life!" The apostles obeyed, and at dawn they entered the Temple and started teaching ... The High Priest and his companions called together all the Jewish elders for a full meeting of the Council; then they sent orderd to the prison to have the apostles brought before them. But when the officials arrived, they did not find the apostles in prison; so they returned to the Council and reported: "When we arrived at the jail we found it locked up tight and all guards on watch at the gates; but when we opened the gates we did not find anyone inside!" THEN a man came in who said to them, "LISTEN! The men you put in prison are standing in the Temple teaching the people!" So the officer went off with his men and brought the apostles back. They did not use force, however, becuase they were afraid that the people might stone them ... THEY brought the apostles in and made them stand before the Council, and the High priest questioned them. "We gave you strict orders NOT to teach in the name of this man," he said; "but see what you have done! You have spread your teaching all over Yerushalayim, and you want to make US responsible for his death!" Peter [Shim'on aka Kefas] and the other apostles answered back: "WE must obey G D, NOT men. The G d of our fathers raised Yehoshua from death, after you had him killed by nailing him to a cross. And G d raised him to his right side as Leader and Savior, to give to the people of israel the opportunity to repent and have their sins forgiven. WE are witnesses to these things ~ WE and the Holy Spirit, who is G d's gift to those who obey him!" WHEN the members of the Council heard this they were SO furious that they decide to have the apostles put to death. But one of them, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law who was highly respected by all the people, stood up in the Council. HE ordered the apostles to be taken out, and then said to the Council: "Men of Israel, be careful what you are about to do to these men! Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming that he was somebody great; and about four hundred men joined him. But he was killed, all of his followers were scattered, and his movement died out! After THIS, Yehudah haGalili appeared during the time of the census; he also drew a crowd after him, but he was also killed and all of HIS followers were scattered! And SO ALSO in this case NOW, I tell you, do NOT take any action against these men! LEAVE them ALONE, for if this plan and work of theirs is a man-made thing, it will by itself disappear; but if it comes from G D you cannot possibly defeat them? You could find yourselves fighting against G D!" THE Council followed Gamaliel's advice. They called the apostles in, had them whipped, and ordered them NEVER AGAIN to speak in the name of Yehoshua; and they set them free!
The apostles left the Council, full of joy that G d had considered them worthy to suffer disgrace for the name of Yeshua? And every day in the Temple and in people's homes they continued to teach and preach the Good News about Yehoshua haMasjiach
