The
first time
in Mark that
Yeshua reveals the inevitability
of his suffering & death is in chapter 8?!
As we have seen several times before, the sometimes puzzling
& shocking statements made by Yehoshua about his authority can be derived
from close reading of the Dani'el passages about the Son of Man. These Jews pored over the Scripture
& interpreted every detail in order to understand what the Messiah would look like & what to expect when he came.
Here we have a further example that illuminates
our question about the suffering
of the Messiah:
AND JESUS WENT WITH HIS DISCIPLES,
TO THE VILLAGES OF CAESAREA PHILIPPI {see also Banyas/Panyas!};
& on the way he asked them,
"Who do men say I am?"
And they told him,
"JOHN THE BAPTIST;
& others say, ELIJAH (Eliyahu);
& others one of the prophets!"
And he asked them,
"But who do you say I am?"
Shim'on Peter aka Kefas answered him,
"YOU ARE THE MASHIACH!
And he charged them to tell no one about him.
And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things,
and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests & the scribes, & be killed, & after three days rise again.
And he said this plainly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
But turning and seeing his dis-ciples, he rebuked Peter, and said,
"GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!
For you are not on the side of g d,
but of men!"

Here
we can
thus see clearly
'the secret in a nutshell':
an example of the ultimate (r)evolution
also Socrates & Siddharta Gautama the Buddha a.s.o.
were talking about a few ages before ~ human beings are called upon
'by the gods', conscience, justice, love
& understanding to become like
that from the 'inside'
instead of trusting
the old ways
of kings &
emperors.

Anyone
doing so has to
be prepared to 'die
for this truth'
