LIKE
our dreaming
psychedelics depend on
set and setting: what
is inside and around you
determines what is experienced in ecstacy
& euforia or extreme fear & flight
and there is a wide range of variations in
effects of different types of hemp
{and stuff like that}?

It's
chemical structure
mimics serotonin so
it interferes in the deliverance
of the emotional messages inbetween our own brain/nervecells:
we thus see and experience in our rather exaggerated ways
that what is already going on inside us
and what is happening
all around us ~
heaven or hell
does not only mean peace or war,
love or hate
but much more than that ~
that which is going on inside our head
and inner landscape!

One
of the strangest things
about grass and stuff like that
is the difference in the 'high'
[or 'low']
depending on
where the plant was
grown.

It
has a chameleon-like
special quality of also reproducing
the characteristics of its
environments.

There
is a definite
relationship between the altitude
{a.s.o.}
at which the plant is grown
and the kind of 'high'
it gives.

It
grows best
on mountain slopes
under cedar or fig trees,
and the higher up the mountain it grows,
the better it is.

It
may even
be linked to
the legends of the special food
of the socalled "Immortals"
who lived on mountain tops in Old Greece,
Ancient India and pre~Confucian
China.

In
Marocco hemp
from cerrtain regions
is especially valued because it gives the psychic lift
without the physical paralysis,
so a man can stay 'high'
and we can still do our
dayly work,
while from other regions,
a pipe in the morning makes you
stay in bed all day long
without a need for anything at all
to fulfill your non-existent needs for sex,
foods or drinks.

This
very wide
range of variation
in effect makes accurate
medical dosages quite difficult,
but upon further investigations it might turn out
to be a very useful factor in the treatment of diseases
such as multiple sclerosis,
the chemical side~effects of anticancerdrugs
and a wide variety
of other mental and physical ailments
that can make our own human experience of life
into a real hell
on earth.

Heaven
is no guarantee at all,
but the Carpenter of the Sermon on the Mount
sure did know what he was doing,
just like Buddha
sitting under his Banyan
Tree
...
