If we accept the traditional form of the heavenly message, Yehoshua is described as "MY SON!"
If the heavenly voice intoned the words of Yeshayahu, Yehoshua must have understood that he was being
set apart as the "SERVANT OF G D", the "CHOSEN ONE!" For him the gift of HOLY SPIRIT, which was part of Yochanan's baptism, held another special significance that was to become decisive for his near & far future
as we know by now? None of the designations "SON," "SERVANT," or "CHOSEN ONE" were exclusively messi-anistic titles - the last two could also denote the special status of the prophetic office. By these titles, "JC"
aka Yehoshua, Yeshua, Yeshu, MOSHIACH, mashiach, ['messias/gezalfde/verlosser/bevrijder/middelaar'],
learned that he was now chosen, set apart. Nothing that we have learned casts any doubt upon the histo-ricity of Yeshu's experience at his baptism in the river Yardeen. According to Mark & Matai, Yeshua came to Yochanan from his home in Natseret. If we are to believe the words of the 'archangel' reported by Luke,
Miryam was related to Yochanan's mother: we cannot learn any more than this about the psychological background to Yeshu's decision to join the crowd and be baptized by Yochanan. On the other hand, if we use the documents properly, we can form a fairly clear idea of what happened to Yeshu after his baptism
and call for 'action'?! The only serious problem seems to be that we have no reliable report of the place of
the Baptist's activities. Moreover this prophet of the wilderness did not remain in the same place anymore.
Perhaps Yochanan baptized Yehoshua not far from the point where the Yardeen enters the Harp Lake in the north: in the area of Beth Saida, the home of the brothers Andrei & Petros, whom according to Yocha-nan [the "Euangelist"]~{1:40-44}, Yehoshua met at his baptism? In fact it could have been anywhere al-most inbetween the Hermon/Golan~area and the northern shore of the Dead Salt Sea where Yardeen ends
near Qumran? Those were my favorite places since the end of '66: the Northern part of the Great Rift ......
That's where we met again to fall in & out of love in '67/'68'/'69 & 'ever since' ~ a great place to be 'alone'
