STILL
UNANSWERED FOR
MICROSCOPIC PARTICLES, ANY
SCIENTIFIC CONSIDERATION OF SUCH EXOTIC QUESTIONS
AS TIMETRAVEL OR HIGHLY COMPLEX CHRONOLOGIES AMONG MACRO-
scopic humans is essentially limited
to what can be ruled out
as illogical!?

For example,
the conundrum presented in "Back to the Future"
involving time travel and revision of history with recognizable con-
sequences for the present, requires a series of poorly defined assumptions:
an infinite space-time arena made up of events trapped at their assigned time coordinates in eternal repetition,
& an opposing mechanism that permits the spontaneous relocation
of some events to different coordinates.

Any alternative picture
depends very heavily on the particular model of interactions,
but one possibility is that the events we call 1956 occurred at one chronological moment,
were registered in memory, and then moved on to 1957, so that a current day visitor to the Southern Califirnia of 1956
would find nothing but empty space-time. Perhaps a reliable physical theory explaining how antiparticles
can have arrived at future coordinate times ~ a precondition for their evolving to our earlier
coordinate times in the well-accepted pair annihilation
model ~ may one ear shed light
on these problems.

In any case,
any past events that contributed to my being
must have chronologically preceded anything I
do, and therefore are
beyond my power
to change.

All
I 'have'
are my facts
& phantasies, actions &
wishes, thoughts & feelings,
states of mind & all kinds of
imaginary realms teeming
with life
