28073/5 a bible content divided in three sections:

1. THE LAW/TORAH
OR THE FIVE BOOKS OF MOSHEH/PENTATEUCH:
genesis, exodus, Leviticus, numbers, deuteronomy ~ this first old section begins with an account
of the Creation of the World & Ends with the Death of MOSHEH. It was not written by MOSHEH, although it may contain
much of his teaching and even 'actual words'? It probably is the composite work of a number of Scribes! NB: most liberal Jews would not accept the literal 'truth' of many of the "MIRACLES" in this "oldest section" which seem to defy natural laws! This would appear to place G d in a position of reversing 'his set laws' in a chaotic manner? Instead we would like & prefer to explain these miracles in such ways as "POETIC MYTHOLOGY" or "exaggeration through oral distortion"
or "over-simplification for tuition purposes",
etceterara!
2. THE PROPHETS/NEVI'IM:
consists of YOSJOEA, SHOFTIM/JUDGES, I & II SJMU'EEL,
I & II KINGS/MELACHIM, YESJAYAHU/ISAIAH, YIRMEYAHU/JEREMIAH,
YECHEZKEL/EZEKIEL, CHOSHEAH/HOSEA, YO'EEL, AMOSH, OVADIAH, YONAH,
MICHA, NACHUM, CHAVAKUK, TSEFANYAH, CHAGGAI, TSCHARYAHU & MALACHIAH? The first six books
of this section are strictly not concerned with Prophets, but do record historical events from the death of Moshe
to the CAPTIVITY? The other books contain the preachings mostly of the prophets
after whom they were named. NB: a "prophet" was not somebody
whose prime task was to foretell the future,
although some occasionally
did indulge in it!
They were, instead, men who were inspired
'by G d' to speak out to the people of their age & time,
condemning them for their evil ways, and trying to teach them the true meaning of religion
& 'service to g d' and to their fellow-men!? Many of the highest of their values in our present civilizations have their origin in the teachings of the Hebrew prophets ~ particularly in the realm of our social justice! Most of these prophets lived
between the years of about 800
& 400 BCE!
3. THE WRITINGS/CHETUVIM ~
consists of PSALMS or SHIRIM (Hebrew religious poetry),
PROVERBS (wise sayings), YOAV/JOB (problem of suffering/pain/anger),
SONG OF SONGS/lovesong: religious love poem, RUTH (pastoral romance),
LAMENTATIONS (purpose of life), ESTHER (story of Purim & Mòr), DANI'EL (adventures in exile),
EZRAH (return from exile), NECHEMYAHU (return from exile) & I & II CHRONICLES (historical summary)!?
This section thus contains scrolls of a "miscellaneous" nature, many of which are comparatively "LATE"
both with regard to their thought & composition...
