Dear diary,

Today I saw a homeless man sitting on the ground at the bus station. He had a drum at his feet and at some point, I could hear him slam on the drum.
After a while, I noticed he was on drugs and was actually tripping, like he had an epileptic attack. Everybody who saw him laughed at him and taught he was pathetic. I only felt sorrow for the man. Whether it was his fault or not, he has nothing left. No home, no money, probably a life of crime an full of begging. And when he tries to escape this life, his reality, he can escape to another reality which is better for him, which has shown more mercy for him than the real world has.
Of course, only he is the one who can help himself, so there is nothing I could of would do for him. But still, it has made me think of how another person would react if their life would be completely destroyed. Everything taken away from him, or her. Wouldn't everyone escape reality and create a completely new universe where life had shown them mercy? Wouldn't we all try to make our faults more bearable?
